Explore the Wine Trail in Alsace with The Wayfarers Founders

New for 2014

For 2014 we offer two amazing new destinations, Norway and Colorado, as well as the return of an old favorite, the Pilgrims’ Way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

We are thrilled with the itinerary for the Norway Walk and hope you will be equally excited. From exploring historic wharfsides and colorful folk culture to majestic fjords and the silent freshness of the pine forests, this Walk has it all. In this land of islands and inlets, we make many crossings by boat, always enjoying a warm welcome from the local people we meet along our way.

Our Colorado Walk offers a summertime adventure in a spectacular area of wilderness mountains jeweled with colorful wildflower meadows. We visit the cave dwellings of Ancient Pueblo Indians, trek across high, rugged mountain peaks with incredible views, tour historic gold and silver mining towns and enjoy a well-deserved soak in some of the world’s best hot springs.

In complete contrast, our Walk to Santiago de Compostela follows a route traveled by pilgrims for more than a thousand years. We walk in the footsteps of the original Wayfarers, in a tradition that has brought serenity to generations. This Walk is already fully booked for 2014 with our open brochure, but do ask for details if you would like to find out more about arranging a Private Walk at this destination.

Details of our New Walks are in our latest brochure. Our 2014 Schedule is available now to download.

Passion, knowledge and enthusiasm are at work in the planning of each Wayfarers itinerary, expertly designed by a team of professionals deeply committed to walkers' enjoyment every step of the way. Foot power is supplemented by a variety of local transportation, ranging from steam trains to cable cars, from coastal launches to gondolas; and a support vehicle provides shuttle service and rest when needed, also taking the burden of bags and supplies.
