	Alpine Scenery From the Julian Alps of Slovenia to the panoramas of Austria, our Walks with Alpine Scenery as a highlight span some of the most beautiful walking paths in the world.		Gourmet Food We enjoy and understand the cultures we visit by sampling their cuisine. Be it the gourmet delights conjured by our personal chef on the Burgundy Barge or the pleasures of authentic fare in the Pays Basque, foodies will particularly enjoy Walks with Gourmet Food as a highlight.
	Ancient Man Stone circles in Scotland and Ireland, cave paintings in France and South Africa, our trails take in some very interesting ancient sites.		Historical Theme Churchill, Roman ruins, lore of the Scottish clans, Richard the Lion-Heart and Joan of Arc - all feature on our Walks.
	Architecture Romanesque, Gothic, Greek, Baroque - we visit and view a wonderful variety of exciting architectural styles.		Inn to Inn Journey Coast to coast across Northern England or from Dartmoor to Exmoor - our Inn to Inn journeys change hotels each night and have a final destination as a goal of the Walk.
	Art Connections From Cezanne to Georgia O'Keefe, our paths cross the favorite haunts of well-known artists and their muses.		Literature & Film From Daphne du Maurier in Cornwall to Kanab in the Wild West and the land where Lord of the Rings was filmed in New Zealand, we trek along trails famous for their literary and cinematic inspirations.
	Barging Luxury barge La Belle Epoque is a highlight of our Burgundy Barge Walk.		Musical Connections Josephine Baker, The von Trapp Family, Mozart, Smetana, Ravel - we visit places significant to all.
	Bird Watching Curlews in Yorkshire, eagles in Alaska, hawks in Scotland; there are many chances to spot abundant and interesting birdlife.		Photography UNESCO world heritage sites such as Taos Pueblo and the terraced vineyardsof the Cinque Terre make wonderful subjects for photographers along the way.
	Castles Highlights include Norman castles in Wales, Prussian fortresses in Czech Republic and even spectacular castles built into cliffsides in France and Slovenia.		Train Journey We incorporate train rides on some of our Walks to allow us to see more of a region. The ride itself provides some memorable scenery and authentic local experience!
	Coastal Walking From the 'Blue Way' in the Cinque Terre to the South West Coastal path in Cornwall - our coastal routes are highlights from the Med to the Pacific.		Steam Train Riding antique steam trains lends a sense of history and fun to a number of our Walks.
	Cruising Foot power is supplemented with boat power on many our our Walks - From Lake Lucerne in Switzerland to Lake Windermere in the English Lake District - all the better to reach the next trail.		Trip of a Lifetime We have brought together the best a destination can offer in Wayfarers' style for these trips to places you may visit only once in a lifetime.
	Flora & Fauna We may encounter Red Deer in Exmoor or Lions in South Africa - the animals and plants we see provide the highlights on many Walks.		Wildlife Conservation Elephants in Madikwe, moose and bear in Alaska, New Forest Ponies in England - we visit conservation areas around the world and the money we spend doing so goes directly to support the plant and wildlife conservation initiatives.
	Founders Walk Christopher Hague and Michael West, The Wayfarers' Co-Founders, host two departures of a Founders' Walk in an exciting new destination each year. Join in on the fun!		Wine Region Chianti, Burgundy, Grappa, Prosecco, Chablis, Sancerre - we spend our days walking the land that produces these wonderful wines, and in the evenings we sample them.
	Gardens Formal Italian Villas, English cottage gardens, sub-tropical lost worlds all feature on various walks.		Women Only Select departures of some walks are geared just for women - mothers and daughters, aunts and nieces, old school friends re-uniting - girl power is foot power!
