Why stop at one Wayfarers Walk, when two work together so well? As we say farewell at the end of a Walk, very often our Wayfarers say: 'I wish we had longer here.' Getting in to the rhythm of the days – the hiking, the companionship, the laughs - the weather - and at end of day a delicious meal and a comfortable bed in interesting or unusual accommodation; it’s what it’s all about. So don’t head home – extend your vacation with a complementary Walk. W Sicily amphitheatre Very many of our Walks are a perfect match – take two back-to-back and get a double helping of slow travel. The advantages? One transatlantic airfare, less jet lag, the chance to really get to know a country or a region and to truly relax into a vacation where we take care of everything. And for anyone who books two Walks back-to-back, we’ll treat them to a night’s accommodation in between and give first-timers the Wayfarers’ Friends Loyalty Discount. As our long-time Friend and Wayfarer Marilyn says: 'For me, back-to-back trips are great value (one airfare, two great places, free night between trips) as well as a wonderful way to immerse myself in the region. Several of us took both the Western and Eastern Sicily trips and felt we truly covered the best of Sicily by doing the two walks together. The last night of a walk is usually a bit sad for me, knowing I have to leave a magical place. Back-to-backs give me another week to enjoy the country, the food and the special Wayfarers on the trips.' Our new Walk in North Cornwall, for instance, is the perfect partner to our long-standing favorite tour in the southern part of the county. Each very different, but a wonderful way to immerse oneself in this ancient kingdom of beautiful seascapes. Here are some back-to-back options to whet the appetite:
  • La bella Sicilia - ancient temples, nature reserves, coastal paths and a volcano! Our Walks in the west and the east of the Mediterranean’s largest island are a perfect match
  • Discover the ‘Crossroads of Europe’ and the fascinating Czech republic by hiking from Vienna to Prague and then on to Dresden.
  • Enjoy the craic in the Emerald Isle – proud cities, glens and wild coasts in Northern Ireland and Celtic history and the stunning Dingle peninsula in the republic of Ireland.
  • Our new Walk in the Lake District and our terrific take on the fells and Dales of Yorkshire. You’ll see some of the UK’s most awe-inspiring views and experience the wonderful hospitality of the north-country.
