Sicily has long been a crossroads of the Mediterranean and a melting pot of the many different cultures and people who landed here across the centuries.

Today Greek temples, Norman churches and Baroque palaces all vie for attention. From the smoking craters of Mount Etna on the skyline, to beautiful empty beaches, there is so much to see on the Med’s largest island. That’s why we have two Walks in Sicily. Pick one, or why not take both? They’re designed to be a perfect fit!

Sicily Walking Vacations with The Wayfarers

Our Western Sicily tour starts in Palermo and takes us from a remote and peaceful nature reserve to great 5th century cities, a Phoenician settlement on a tiny island and enormous ruined temples. Our Walk in Eastern Sicily leads us to the smouldering flanks of Etna, dives into the streets and alleys of Siracusa, where St Paul preached, and shows off the baroque magnificence of Noto. We end on a real high note at the extraordinary Greek theater at Taormina.

Sicily Walks with The Wayfarers

Add to that a balmy climate refreshed by sea breezes, magnificent food – Italian cuisine with a Sicilian twist – characterful accommodations and those special 'Wayfarers’ moments' and this is a vacation you will never forget. We offer a very special price to our Wayfarers who book the whole Sicilian experience, so please contact us for more information.
