Amiamo l'Italia!

From many years of enjoying the trail in Italy with our guests, we believe our Italian Walks cover all the bases.

Love history and antiquity? Classic Tuscany and the Etruscan Hilltop Towns reveal treasures at every step. And truly, Sicily is not to be missed.

Adore Italian cuisine? Puglia and the Via del Sale serve up wonderful local specialties and delicious local wines day after day.

Want to soak up the scenery? Cinque Terre, Italian Lakes and Amalfi Coast will take your breath away!

Or maybe you just want leave the world behind. The Dolomites offer a rare chance to Walk in a landscape where mother nature is the one and only star. With its high altitude, it is our only summer Walk in Italy.

This is THE year to go to Puglia as Matera is celebrating its accolade of 2019 European Capital of Culture.

Beautiful and undiscovered. Deep in the heel of southern Italy, Puglia hides wonderful quiet trails through olive groves and vines, natural parks and protected areas.

Explore the unique Trulli houses of the lush Itria valley and the rock churches and UNESCO Sassi district of Matera, whose inhabitants lived in caves carved out of limestone.

Aside from the perfect mix of cultural discovery and gentle walking through olive groves and vineyards, we will have the chance to sample the legendary local cuisine and delicious wines that make this region a true food lovers' paradise.

By the way, Fall, autumn, or the Italian autunno is an excellent time to visit the rest of Italy.

More temperate conditions make September and October fantastic months for outdoor pursuits like hiking or exploring Roman ruins and it's a beautiful time of year, as colors change and soften and the land gives up its harvest.
